Regan

(stage name Sydney Sharisse) was a finalist at the Miss Pole Dance Canada 2007 competition in Vancouver and has appeared most recently as a backup dancer for Weird Al Yankovic.  She is a professional makeup artist and divides her time between her dog (Josie), her horse (Bo), and workin' the pole.  Regan doesn't own a television, and she compulsively solves crossword puzzles.  And she dislikes when people push onto the elevator before others have exited.

Amy

Amy has danced since she could walk.  Her training began here in Medicine Hat at the Cultral Centre.  There she took 11 years of ballet and 7 years of modern.  At age 19 Amy auditioned for an urban dance troup that travelled the globe and when excepted spent the next 3 years falling in love with hip hop as she performed in countries all around the world including New Zealand, Brazil, Norway, Australia, Belize, Holland etc. After her time touring Amy came back here to Medicine Hat and now teaches dance full time back where it all began at the Medicine Hat Cultral Centre.  She still finds time to travel and perform whenever possible and is excited for whats still to come.

Janine

Its amazing when I think that only a few years ago I was in the original Shake Your Booty! - the "class that started it all"...now I am teaching it!
I have been with Heartbreaker since its beginning and I was hooked from the night I attended my first class. I began instructing not long afterwards and obtained my specialty certification in Group Fitness.  If I had to name the one thing that has been my most significant fitness experience it would be the Bikini Contest.  That experience truly did change my life.
Fitness is my passion. I am always looking for new goals to set for myself. My ambition is to ever improve my own health and fitness and I truly believe in making fitness a part of everyday life as a way to improve personal and physical well-being. I love teaching and motivating others to help them achieve their fitness goals.  I don't think that there could be a better job than one that promotes a positive, happy and healthy lifestyle.
In addition to my classes at Heartbreaker I am student in karate and I love to run.  I am also a full-time Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator, member of several local theater groups and I love to travel.

Staci

After taking fitness classes for many years in various locations, I found a gym that was a perfect fit for me.  The classes at Heartbreaker's challenged me and helped me to conquer my goal of losing 70+ pounds.  I was inspired by Marla at Heartbreaker's to step out from behind the instructor and become one myself.  I love the feeling of working out hard and knowing that I have accomplished something good for myself, all in one short hour!

Stacey

Stacey Started taking classes with Marla several years ago. Took the very first Shake Your Booty / Pole Dance Class and moved over to Heartbreakers to continue working out with Marla when it opened, took the first Bootylicious Boot Camp class and then the very first Bikini Boot Camp. She has been pole dancing for 2 years this fall and teaching for one.
Stacey has an educational background in Physical Therapy and became certified for AFLCA in 2007. She has a passion for Pilates, Pole Dancing and loves working and working-out in a fun and inspirational environment like Heartbreakers.

Dawn

Dawn is a certified yoga instructor, became hooked on yoga about 4 years ago.  She likes the physical benefits, but also the mental clarity and focus. She is an Occupational Therapist by day, is not only involved in Yoga, but has run 3 marathons, plays volleyball and is an avid hiker.

Whitney

To dance is my passion in life. My mother enrolled me in tap dancing when I was 4 years old and then preceded with jazz and ballet. When we moved to Lumsden I began taking hip-hop and Pointe ballet classes. Over the years I have written many dance exams and attended dance conventions and work shops. I taught 2 years in Lumsden and had a great time doing it. The classes I taught were musical theatre, jazz and hip hop with the ages ranging from 4-17 years old. In the past year I joined a belly dancing class and had so much fun. I still continue to dance to this day and absolutely love it and wish to study dancing. Last fall I instructed the Kids Dance and Hip-hop classes at Heartbreaker. At the end of July, Regan and I were chosen to be back-up dancers for Weird Al Yankovich… That was an experience and a half!

Laura

Laura is a graduate of Medicine Hat College - Fitness Leadership Diploma 2001, CFC. and the YMCA Aerobics Instructor Course. She has been a Personal Trainer since 2001 and teaching aerobics since 2000.
