I am the woman who brought Pole Dance Fitness to Medicine Hat!
I have instructed and participated in Heartbreaker's classes since its inception in 2005. I am back from a teaching hiatus and I am excited to reconnect with the pole dance students.
I'm also the woman many Heartbreakers go to for hairstyling, makeup, and eyelash extensions. I'm never too busy to talk about girly things!

I have been teaching at Heartbreaker for about a year and a half and absolutely love it. I remember sweating through my first class with Marla and thinking to myself - "I want to make people sweat like this!" I think the best part about being an instructor at Heartbreaker is getting to know members of our family and seeing the difference our classes make in their lifestyles, in their bodies and in their self-confidence.
Prior to coming to Heartbreaker, I played soccer for the University of Saskatchewan where I received my B.Comm. To this day, I continue to coach women's soccer at the Medicine Hat College.
When I'm not at the gym or on the soccer field, I work for Alberta Health Services as a Recruitment Advisor and enjoy spending time with friends and family on the golf course, at the lake and anywhere else I can.

Heartbreaker captured my attention immediately after moving here - I loved the open and fun atmosphere and the emphasis on fitness as a lifestyle. I instantly fell in love with pole dancing – and now I teach!! Not only is the pole an excellent workout but I truly believe that it helps women become more confident in themselves and comfortable with their bodies.
Fitness has always been an important aspect of my life – I’ve completed three half marathons and last spring ran my first triathlon!
Attending classes at Heartbreaker inspired me to start teaching other fitness classes. I am now certified as an AFLCA Group Exercise and Resistance Training Leader as well as a CAN-FIT-PRO Nutrition and Wellness Specialist. I am currently studying to become a personal trainer.

I have been practicing Pilates for 18 years and teaching for over 3 years, Pole Dancing for 4 years and teaching for the past 3 years. I have an educational and practical background in Physical Therapy with an AFLCA Certification in Mind Body and Portable Equipment.
I also have additional education and training in various forms and types of Core Fitness Training. I combine all of this, to create some fun and inventive classes to work the entire body, keeping me looking good and in great shape and most importantly, allowing me to help others do the same.

I started at Heartbreaker back in March 2006 for the very first bikini contest. From then on, I absolutely loved the workouts, they are so tough and challenging!
I found that the noon classes work with my schedule a lot better, since being a massage therapist we don't work the 9-5 schedule like everyone else. I started instructing classes in January 2009, either early morning or lunch classes. A big part of what i do is giving people a great workout in a short period of time, without allowing an injury to the body. My favourite class to teach is Killer Legs!

The past couple of years I discovered I have a great passion for health and fitness. After my first Bikini contest, I became addicted. I was hooked on a healthy lifestyle almost instantly! I love participating in fitness classes and decided to start instructing and obtained my specialty certification in Group Fitness. Heartbreakers has been such a positive thing in my life; not only am I stronger, fitter and healthier but it is also a place where I have met so many great friends including one of my best friends.
I am a full time Realtor for Club 100 GMAC, so when I am not at the office or at the gym, I like to go to the lake, wakeboard or go rollerblading, run or bike and just spend time with my friends and family.
Hope to see you in my class
