Before & After
Dear Janine, Marla and the Rest of the Crew I believe that Tara is one of the most beautiful people that I have ever met. But she sees society's definition of beautiful, not her own. Tara believes in working with troubled youth, she is constantly trying to make a future brighter for her own children, even if that means sacrificing her own. She is such a teacher of positivity, but sometimes neglects herself. Thank you for believing in her and pushing her to become stronger, physically, emotionally and mentally. I believe that Lisa is gorgeous, and that her beauty is within. Lisa needs to let go of the struggles she has with eating and embrace the world of balance. I appreciate that you took the time to help her and explain to her where her balance is. She is a much better Lisa, thanks to this process. I believe that all the girls in our class have been able to overcome hurdles that most of them have let go of the number. I am so impressed with Marie, Tracey, Marty, Meghan, Ashley and everyone else. Watching their physical changes was incredible and held such a sense of awesomeness, and I hope that they are able to see and feel their own accomplishments. Janine thank you for making people throw out the scale. The scale is such a negative enforcement in women's lives emotionally; physically, it has no merit, and mentally, the scale can scar you. The scale is not our enemy, but can never be a friend. The scale simply enforces that the ‘number’ is what we should judge ourselves on, which is a lie entirely! Marla, thank you for teaching us how we can be intelligent with our bodies. Thank you for teaching us how we can be better. Thank you for taking a chance and creating a program, in a warm and inviting facility, that is designed for people to see how if you just try and buy into a philosophy, great things will happen. To all the instructors, Terri-Anne, Dee, Dawn, Stacey and everyone else, thank you for embracing all forms of exercise. Thank you for showing us that we need to find what we like and to stick with it. Thank you for taking the time to show us diversity in exercise. To the future instructors, Nicole and Brandy, I know you will do amazing. In an environment that embraces diversity and success, you are guaranteed to learn and perform at your best. Thank you ladies for using your abilities to help me and so many others. Here is a quote that I love that I think is very true to what you do. “You will discover that you have two hands. One is for helping yourself and the other is for helping others.” Audrey Hepburn Lastly, thank you for embracing me and all my quirks. Thank you for everything. I believe that this was a life changing experience and although I am not in a program for the next session, I will be back. Love
